Magnetic disc 4mm diameter, thickness 1mm, N45

Neodymium disc magnets of 4mm, 1mm thickness, nickel-plated. Magnetization N45 axial (parallel to height), Strenght approx. 250gram. Magnets attract or repel on a pole side. Our disc magnets are axially magnetized. This means that the poles are on the round side. In order to remove magnets from each other, you have to slide them away from each other. ATTENTION ! Because of the magnetic force they can collapse on top of each other and possibly break. Application: Is widely used in advertising applications, hanging signs and model making.

FAQ

FAQ

What are the dimensions of this disc magnet?
This magnet has a 4 mm diameter and a 1 mm thickness, making it a compact choice for precise placements.
How strong is the magnet in practical use?
The holding strength is approximately 250 g under suitable conditions. The actual result depends on the surface material, thickness, and contact area.
Which side is the north/south pole on this magnet?
It is axially magnetized, so the poles are on the two flat, round faces. The curved side is not the pole face.
What’s the best way to separate two magnets safely?
Slide them apart sideways instead of pulling straight. This helps prevent them snapping together and potentially chipping.
Can I use this magnet for signage or display applications?
Yes, it’s well-suited for advertising setups, hanging signs, and lightweight display mounting. The slim profile keeps the magnet discreet.
Does it have a hole for screws or mechanical mounting?
This disc magnet is designed for flat contact mounting. For fixed installation, it’s commonly combined with suitable adhesives or fitted into a recess.
What material and coating does the magnet have?
It is a neodymium magnet with a nickel-plated finish. The coating provides a neat appearance and helps protect the surface during handling.
Which surfaces work best for maximum holding power?
Smooth, clean ferromagnetic surfaces generally give the best grip. Any air gap, paint layer, or unevenness can reduce performance.
How do I clean and maintain the magnet?
Wipe it with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth and keep it free of metal dust. Store it clean and separated to reduce impact damage.
What are the main benefits of the N45 grade in this size?
N45 offers a strong magnetic performance for its compact dimensions. That means you get solid holding power without adding bulk.
