Magneetschijfjes 20mm diameter, 1,5mm dikte, N35

Neodymium disc magnets of 20mm, 1,5mm thickness, nickel-plated. Magnetization N35 axial (parallel to height), Strenght approx. 1.700gram. Magnets attract or repel on a pole side. Our disc magnets are axially magnetized. This means that the poles are on the round side. In order to remove magnets from each other, you have to slide them away from each other. ATTENTION ! Because of the magnetic force they can collapse on top of each other and possibly break. Application: Is widely used in advertising applications, hanging signs and model making.

FAQ

FAQ

What are the dimensions of this disc magnet?
The magnet has a 20 mm outer diameter and a thickness of 1.5 mm. This makes it a compact choice for low-profile mounting and clean finishes.
How strong is the magnet in practical use?
The holding strength is approximately 1,700 g under ideal conditions on a suitable steel surface. Real-world results depend on the contact area, surface finish, and alignment.
How is this disc magnet magnetized?
It is axially magnetized, meaning the north and south poles are on the two flat, round faces. This is handy for face-to-face holding on steel or another magnet.
What’s the safest way to separate two magnets?
Slide them sideways apart instead of pulling them straight apart. This reduces sudden snapping and helps prevent chipping or breakage.
What is the coating, and why does it matter?
The magnet is nickel-plated, which helps protect the surface during normal handling and use. It also gives a neat, clean metallic finish for visible applications.
Can I glue this magnet, and what should I consider?
Yes, it’s commonly glued into place for signage, displays, or models. Make sure both surfaces are clean and flat so the magnet can sit flush and perform well.
What are typical applications for this magnet size?
It’s widely used for advertising applications, hanging signs, and model making. The slim profile is great when you want strong holding without bulk.
Is it compatible with other magnets and steel surfaces?
It works well on ferromagnetic steel surfaces and with other magnets. Depending on pole orientation, magnets will either attract or repel.
How do I protect the magnet and the surface it touches?
For delicate surfaces, place a thin protective layer (like tape or a film) between the magnet and the surface. This helps reduce scratches and improves handling.
How should I clean and maintain this magnet?
Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust or metal particles. Keep contact faces clean for the best grip and a more consistent hold.
